Welcoming Workplaces Webinar

Agriculture Victoria, in partnership with Red Cross, is delivering a webinar that will help dairy businesses build capacity on cultural competency in the workplace, and in enhancing diversity and inclusion within agricultural businesses.

The Red Cross initiative, with support from Agriculture Victoria, will look at ways to make agricultural businesses more attractive to people from culturally diverse backgrounds whilst also building the employers’ capacity and understanding of their background, experience and the skills they can bring.

The “ Welcoming Workplaces” webinar is open to Agricultural Businesses to attend virtually on the 27th of May at 12 noon.

The content will help businesses learn how to develop and encourage positive attitudes in workplaces and address barriers preventing people from migrant backgrounds participating in the agricultural workforce.

The key presenter will be Galia Bastoni - Project Officer – Migration Support Programs, Red Cross.

Galia is passionate about human rights and has been working with the Australian Red Cross for the last seven years, advocating for equal opportunities for migrants. Galia was the recipient of Humanitarian Youth Awards 2017 and Tenant Led Initiative Award in 2019.
