Jobs Victoria is rolling out a number of initiatives to support regional hospitality and tourism operators who continue to face staff shortages.
Created to help make regional roles very attractive to potential candidates, the initiatives include:
👉🏻Wage supplements
👉🏻Secure 12 months’ work
👉🏻Free mentoring
👉🏻Training and upskilling opportunities
Trainees will receive paid training and 12 months guaranteed employment while undertaking placements across regional host businesses.
They will also receive wage supplements up to $10,000 over 12 months on top of the award wage and other support, including individualised mentoring, to support a positive start to their new careers.
The program will roll out across regional Victoria over the next 12 months.
