Succession planning support

For many businesses, succession planning is one of those things that can get put in the too hard basket for too long.

The process can be made easier by bringing in some external expertise to guide everyone through the process, like the Rural Financial Counselling Service.

The Rural Financial Counselling Service can provide support to enterprises managing succession, industry transition, exit and retirement by working with them to understand their financial position, understanding business performance, cashflows, forecasting, and gaining financial literacy.

For those enterprises in immediate need, the RFCS can open communication channels with banks and creditors to help establish manageable payment plans and refer to other services or industry professionals.

Funded by the Australian and Victorian Government, the Service also offers free and confidential support services to any farm and farm-related businesses experiencing, or at risk of, financial stress.
