Students celebrate graduation success

Nineteen individuals from around the globe who now work at Flavorite on the outskirts of Warragul participated in a ‘Let’s Learn English Course’, facilitated by Warragul community House.

Over eight weeks the group expanded on their varying existing knowledge. Teachers and community house volunteers making the learning fun and interesting for the students which saw them grow in their confidence, speaking and writing in English.

The course culminated with each student giving a presentation about their home country and culture. The graduation ceremony was cause for celebration over food including an Indonesian Beef Rendang and Bubble Tea made by Taiwanese students.

Students were gifted delicious goodies of Exquisite Treats dark chocolate, Tambo Valley Honey, Picnic Point Farm Apple and Raspberry Cider Vinegar and Love In a Jar jams and preserves made by Food and Fibre Gippsland members.

Flavorite, who is a proud member of Food and Fibre Gippsland are now the largest glasshouse producer of fruit and vegetables in Australia after thirty years in business.

The innovative family owned and run business is a champion of food production in Gippsland and employs 1000 people. They expanded to recently to Tatura in the Goulburn Valley with high demand for the quality hydroponic grown, vine ripened fruits and vegetables. They are driven to seek the most sustainable practices while optimising flavour.
