New series of webinars coming: Farming in a low carbon economy

Following on from their successful first series of webinars in 2022, the AusIndustry Entrepreneurs’ Programme has secured speakers for what promises to be an equally interesting second round.

The webinars, to be delivered over the coming two months, will aim to give farmers in eastern Gippsland different insights and perspectives into aspects of operating in an economy that focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Other interested stakeholders will also benefit from the insights and discussion.

Speakers will include Philip Mulvey, who is a soil and water chemistry specialist, author and entrepreneur; Andrew Ward, from Regen Farmers Mutual; and Stephen Todd, founder of Volt Farmer.

Three episodes in the series will cover various topics, including:

  • Water cycles and the relationship between soil carbon and soil hydration, and implications for farm and landscape levels;

  • The power of collaboration to support shared benefit; and

  • Other opportunities for adding to regenerative farm business models.

Attendance at these online events is free. The sessions will be conducted via Zoom, so please register your interest so the link can be sent to you in advance by the organisers.

Webinar dates:

Thursday 23rd March, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Thursday 27th April, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Thursday 25th May, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
