Summer Compost Available: Sacyr Melbourne Compost

The summer compost surge is beginning with Sacyr Environment Australia receiving a monthly record of feedstock receipts through November, which will push through its Dandenong South facility from January and through the summer.

Sacyr has been short of compost all spring as garden markets were running very strongly but as the civil and amenity horticulture markets are quiet through this period, Sacyr is offering great prices for compost deliveries in January and February.

Several growers built a stockpile through this period last year, allowing the compost to further mature and cure for later use.

Results were pleasing with the same group booking again for this summer, but there’s opportunity for more to join.
